PRF in Periodontal

PRF in Periodontal

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is an adjunctive technique that may be incorporated into selected periodontal and gum procedures. A small amount of the patient’s own blood is processed using a specific protocol to produce a fibrin-rich material containing platelets and components associated with the natural tissue-healing process. This material can then be used as part of an appropriate dental procedure.

At Dr. Ahmed Fahmy Dental Clinic, PRF is not considered a stand-alone solution for every gum or tooth-support problem. Instead, the teeth, gums, bone, and underlying cause are first carefully evaluated. The primary treatment is determined, and PRF may then be incorporated when clinically appropriate to support tissue healing and regeneration following selected procedures.
